In cooperation with goldsmith atelier Georg Hornemann and auction house Grisebach, Kicken Berlin will show a broad selection of photographic works that deal with questions of materiality, light, and movement. Works by artists such as Cecil Beaton, Aenne Biermann, László Moholy-Nagy, Man Ray, Albert Renger-Patzsch, Otto Steinert and many others, as well as examples from science and press photography join in a visual conversation with the exclusive three-dimensional jewellery objects by Hornemann. The interplay of light, space, and time shape the artistry of the goldsmith as they do the work of the photographer.
